I am not usually superstitious, but Sarah Palin for 2012?
I read about these murmurs and felt a shiver down my spine. Did you know that the Aztecs made an ancient calendar that ends in 2012? So did some American Indians. Do you think a Palin presidency starting 2012 was what they were getting at? Can the Republicans get enough rednecks to actually get her elected President, so that we can finally have universal healthcare in the form of free exorcisms?

When will the Harry Reid story hit the 6:00 news? Which party is led by racist’s now?
The top Democrat in the U.S. Senate apologized on Saturday for comments he made about Barack Obama’s race during the 2008 presidential bid and are quoted in a yet-to-be-released book about the campaign.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada described in private then-Sen. Barack Obama as “light skinned” and “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.” Obama is the nation’s first African-American president.
“I deeply regret using such a poor choice of words. I sincerely apologize for offending any and all Americans, especially African-Americans for my improper comments,” Reid said in a statement released after the excerpts were first reported on the Web site of The Atlantic.
“I was a proud and enthusiastic supporter of Barack Obama during the campaign and have worked as hard as I can to advance President Obama’s legislative agenda.”
Reid remained neutral during the bitter Democratic primary that became a marathon contest between Obama and then-Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, whom Obama tapped as the United States’ top diplomat after the election.
Reid’s comments are included in the book, obtained Saturday by The Associated Press and set to be published on Monday. “Game Change” was written by Time Magazine’s Mark Halperin and New York magazine’s John Heilemann.
The book also says Reid urged Obama to run, perceiving the first-term senator’s impatience.
“You’re not going to go anyplace here,” Reid told Obama of the Senate. “I know that you don’t like it, doing what you’re doing.”
In another section, aides to Republican nominee John McCain described the difficulties they faced with their vice presidential pick, then-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. Steve Schmidt, a senior member of Sen. John McCain’s presidential team, is quoted telling Palin’s foreign policy tutors: “You guys have a lot of work to do. She doesn’t know anything.”
The authors also quote Obama’s initial reaction to McCain’s selection of a little-known governor: “Wow. Well, I guess she’s change.”
Vice presidential nominee Joe Biden was direct. “Who’s Sarah Palin?” the book quotes the then-senator as asking as they left the nominating convention in Denver.
Reid, facing a tough 2010 re-election bid, needs the White House’s help if he wants to keep his seat. Obama’s administration has dispatched officials on dozens of trips to buoy his bid and Obama has raised money for his campaign.
Recognizing the threat, Reid’s apologies also played to his home state: “Moreover, throughout my career, from efforts to integrate the Las Vegas strip and the gaming industry to opposing radical judges and promoting diversity in the Senate, I have worked hard to advance issues.”
Even before his ill-considered remarks were reported, a new survey released Saturday by the Las Vegas Review Journal showed him continuing to earn poor polling numbers. In the poll, by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research, Reid trailed former state Republican party chairwoman Sue Lowden by a 10 percentage points, 50 percent to 40 percent, and also lagging behind two other opponents.
More than half of Nevadans had an unfavorable opinion of Reid. Just 33 percent of respondents held a favorable opinion.

So Fox News caught in a lie huh? What do people think of this so called honest network now? details inside->?
Fox News again accused of airing misleading video
For the second time in just over a week, Fox News is coming under fire for misusing old news footage. The latest flap is leading some people to charge that the cable news network is intentionally misleading its audience, while Fox claims a “production error.”
Wednesday’s incident occurred when Fox News host Gregg Jarrett mentioned that a Sarah Palin appearance and book signing in Grand Rapids, Michigan had a massive turnout. As footage rolled of a smiling and waving Palin amidst a throng of fans, Jarrett noted that the former Republican vice-presidential candidate is “continuing to draw huge crowds while she’s promoting her brand-new book,” adding that the images being shown were “some of the pictures just coming in to us…. The lines earlier had formed this morning.”
However, the video used in the segment was from a 2008 McCain/Palin campaign rally. In response to the minor uproar that arose after clips of Jarrett’s report hit the Internet, Fox senior vice-president of news Michael Clemente issued an initial statement saying, “This was a production error in which the copy editor changed a script and didn’t alert the control room to update the video.”
On Thursday afternoon, Fox News issued an on-air apology delivered by host Jane Skinner:
Yesterday we told you about Sarah Palin kicking off her book tour and then we spoke to Sean Hannity about an interview that he did with former Governor Palin. When introducing the segment we showed you footage of people lining up in Michigan for a book signing that evening. In the tease before the segment, the tease to commercial, we told you how those people were already lining up to meet Palin. The problem is we didn’t show you the video we were actually referencing. Instead we mistakenly aired what’s called “file tape” of Sarah Palin. We didn’t mean to mislead anybody in that tease. It was a mistake, and for that we apologize.
The current mishap comes on the heels of a controversy sparked last week when footage from a conservative rally held over the summer was played on “Hannity” during a segment on a more recent rally. During the clip, host Sean Hannity marveled over the large turnout for a Washington, DC protest. The Daily Show later pointed out that there seemed to be some inconsistencies with the video shown on Hannity’s show, namely that the atmospheric conditions seemed to vary from shot to shot. Hannity later apologized on the air for what he called “an inadvertent mistake.”
Barely a week into Palin’s blitz to promote “Going Rogue,” media coverage is becoming its own story. Fox News rival MSNBC caught heat last week for using altered images of Sarah Palin on the air, for which they later apologized. On Wednesday, Yahoo! News reported Newsweek’s defense of their latest controversial cover, which Palin herself blasted as “sexist.”

Thumbs up for everyone as i don’t favor any of the News Networks.

What’s so bad about the Sarah Palin Newsweek cover?
She is a beautiful woman, with or without photo retouching. I am a card carrying feminist and I think that the picture is beautiful. I think that the text on the cover is more offensive than the picture itself. I think the coverage on FOX news is hilarious because they are basically saying, “How dare Newsweek show this beautiful woman as she really is!”.
No Obama 2012
Why are people still accusing Sarah Palin?
That her daughter gave birth to Trent? Home videos have clearly shown her pregnant with Trent. And even political officials have said how she went into labor after a speech. Why do people still believe in this tabloid crap? My source is a documentary about her on Fox News.
I do not want you opinion on her! Keep your party differences aside and answer the question, please.
Yes I know, Fox News. Whatever.
Vote Palin
I thought republicans wer FOR free speech. So why can’t David Letterman talk about Sarah Palin’s daughter?
So Rush Limbaugh can spout off about every horrid thing that pops into his head but when Letterman makes a lame joke about Sarah Palin’s 18 year old daughter, who thrust herself into the spotlight by going on talk show after talk show speaking on behalf of abstinence, he gets chewed out by everyone….
I thought republicans and Fox News were for free speech?

Were Harry Reid’s private comments to President Obama racist?
What’s Your Reaction? WASHINGTON — Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid apologized on Saturday for saying the race of Barack Obama – whom he described as a “light skinned” African-American “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one” – would help rather than hurt his eventual presidential bid.
Obama quickly accepted, saying “As far as I am concerned, the book is closed.” Reid, facing a tough re-election bid this year, spent the day telephoning civil rights leaders and fellow Democrats in hopes of mitigating the political damage.
The revelations about Reid’s 2008 comments were included in the book “Game Change” by Time Magazine’s Mark Halperin and New York magazine’s John Heilemann. The behind-the-scenes look at the 2008 campaign that elevated Obama to the White House is based on the writers’ interviews with more than 200 sources, most of whom were granted anonymity and thus much of the material could not be immediately corroborated.
Among the details in the book:
_ Presidential rival Hillary Rodham Clinton said she believed Obama’s team had used out-of-state supporters to win the Iowa caucuses and had intentionally exploited Obama’s race. She said the country faced a “a terrible choice” between Obama and Republican nominee John McCain.
_ Obama and running mate Joe Biden barely spoke, kept separate schedules and seldom campaigned together. The campaign kept Biden off the nightly calls that included Obama, instead having the campaign manager and senior strategist brief Biden separately.
_ Aides to McCain described the difficulties they faced with their vice presidential pick, then-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. Steve Schmidt, a senior adviser to McCain, is quoted telling Palin’s foreign policy tutors: “You guys have a lot of work to do. She doesn’t know anything.”
_ Former President Bill Clinton’s efforts to persuade Sen. Edward M. Kennedy to endorse his wife’s presidential bid fell flat when Clinton told the Democratic lawmaker that just a few years ago, Obama would have been serving the pair coffee

Do you believe FOX news excuse for the Saraj Palin book siging trick?
FOX news aired a video of a large crowd gathered around Sarah Palin explaining it was occuring right now and it was a tremendous turn out for her book signing event. It was later determined that the FOX story was fake and that the pictures shown were not of the book signing but shots taken last fall when she was running for Vice President. FOX news explained they had made a mistake blaming it on one of the technicians. Another similar incident used videos of various events patched to appear as a single event; the deception was exposed when climatic conditions between shots were inconsistent. Why does FOX talk show people think they have to fake things or try to trick viewers? It is hard to believe what we hear on the radio or see on TV between the FOX talk show people and radios Lush Limpbaugh. Do you think the patch work videos and the book signing errors were just mistakes or is this normal operating procedures for talk show hosts?
Please do not get me wrong – Nazeem says it happens all the time; I feel most of the FOX media people are great and refrain from dishonest and misleading information. Some however, like Hannity and his band of chanters, are about as unamerican as they come.

10/24/2008,Survey:Sarah Palin has the experience to be a great VP or President. Agree or disagree?
Consider this, Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren said to Sarah Palin {during an interview}: “I’ve been up in Alaska, went up and met a lot of your friends, a lot of people you worked with. And it’s a beautiful state. You have a very high approval rating up there.” See http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,434944,00.html . CNN’s Drew Griffin, accurately, said to Sarah Palin {in an interview}: “you are the only person in this race with executive experience, who’s taken over governments as mayor and governor.” In response, Sarah Palin, said: “I do have more experience than Barack Obama does.” See http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/21/palin.sitcom.transcript/ . In fact, while campaigning, Sarah Palin, said: “Barack Obama only spent 304 days-just 304 days-in the senate before running for president,” See http://www.miamiherald.com/news/politics/AP/story/734268.html .
Accordingly, this is former President Bill Clinton’s argument against Barack Obama, as well. Clinton, during “An hour” interview with Charlie Rose, questioned voters being “prepared to roll the dice” with a Barack Obama Presidency. As Clinton puts it, “When is the last time we elected a president based on one year of service in the senate before he started running?” Clinton, further, said: “If you listen to the people who are most strongly for him they say, ‘basicly we have to throw away all those experienced people…And we want somebody who started running for president a year after he became a senator because he’s fresh, he’s new…and we’re willing to risk it.” However, Clinton, said: “I think a president ought to’ve done something for other people and for his country when you pick a president.” see http://www.charlierose.com/shows/2007/12/14/1/an-hour-with-former-president-bill-clinton .
In short, that describes Sarah Palin. She would make a wonderful vice president and/or president (not to say that the others wouldn’t make an okay president or vice president).
