What a dummy: He wants it to be the divisive business-as-usual with the Republicans being part of the problem rather than pitching in and fixing our problems.
He doesn’t acknowledge the huge debt caused by big unfunded tax breaks and two wars under Republican leadership. Meanwhile he charges the Democrats with attempting to spend too much money as they are now trying to repair damage done by the Republicans and correct problems Republicans have long ignored or fostered.

So Rush Limbaugh can spout off about every horrid thing that pops into his head but when Letterman makes a lame joke about Sarah Palin’s 18 year old daughter, who thrust herself into the spotlight by going on talk show after talk show speaking on behalf of abstinence, he gets chewed out by everyone….

I don’t understand. Fox News have been b*itching about a picture of Sarah Palin that wasn’t retouched before being used for a Newsweek cover? Why is that such a big deal? Isn’t Palin like all of us: has pimples, winkles, yellow teeth (mine are not yellow but most people’s are unless you bleach them)? ” Fox News’ Megyn Kelly took major umbrage at the cover, assuming a clear effort on the part of the magazine to sabotage Palin, and hosted conservative commentator Andrea Tantaros, who published a blog post on the subject earlier in the week.” Like Kelly, Tantaros took what I think was a legitimate issue — that it’s disrespectful and unecessary to show a person’s imperfections so blatantly — and turned it into this hackneyed partisan argument”

Palin is hated by the media, but her favorability rating amongst republicans and right leaning independents is 72% with only 21% unfavorable. Mitt Romney is in second with 56% favorability, and 17% unfavorable.

The democrats voted for McCain in droves, then after we nominated him, they went back to attacking him. Open elections ruined our parties chances and maximized Obama’s chances by choosing McCain.

For the 2012 Republican Presidential Primaries. Palin and Huckabee are now ahead of people like Romney and Pawlenty. This worries me as a Republican because I may have to leave the GOP on a permanent basis if we ever were to nominate a populist, creationist nutter like Palin or Huckabee. We need reform in the GOP and we start by returning to our roots as fiscally conservative social moderates. We are ceasing to become the party of Lincoln, Grant, Eisenhower and Reagan and are moving towards the party of Herbert Hoover, Ted Haggart, Larry Craig, David Duke and Carbou Barbie.

At a loss to explain Sarah Palin’s resignation after months of putting herself in the spotlight, many pundits — particularly conservatives who support her political career — have suggested the Alaska governor is working on a 2012 presidential run. But Republican National Committee chair Michael Steele said, in no uncertain terms, that it simply can’t happen.
“Not having talked to the governor, I take 2012 off the table right now simply because given everything she’s going through personally, dealing with the financial mess that all these ludicrous investigations have put her and Todd in, at the moment, I think she’s trying to focus on getting her house in order, her personal house in order,” Steele told FOX News.
“I look forward to welcoming her out and helping us in our campaigns this fall if and when shes ready to do that. Sarah Palin will be the ultimate arbiter of when she will engage and how she will engage,” he said.
A sizable number of Republicans — but less than a majority — seem to agree that it’s not a good idea. According to a Rasumussen poll, 40% think the resignation hurts her chances of winning the nomination in 2012.
