Since taking office in 2000, Gov. Perry has followed a deliberate course of action to transform the state of Texas. Focusing on areas that are most essential to an improved quality of life, Gov. Perry has pursued improvements in safety, education, economic development, infrastructure & resource management, and personal well-being. Perry has denied aspirations to higher office; he was originally included on the 2012 Presidential Straw Poll ballot at the Values Voter Summit in September 2009, but his name was removed at his own request. In April 2008 while appearing as a guest on CNBC’s Kudlow & Company, he specifically stated that he would not agree to serve as Vice President in a McCain Administration, stating that he already had “the best job in the world” as Governor of Texas. Further, during a Republican gubernatorial debate in January 2010, when asked if he would commit to serving out his term if re-elected, he replied that “the place hasn’t been made yet” where he would rather serve than the Governor of Texas.

Why are Republicans and Fox news making such a big deal of a picture of palin that wasn’t retouched?
I don’t understand. Fox News have been b*itching about a picture of Sarah Palin that wasn’t retouched before being used for a Newsweek cover? Why is that such a big deal? Isn’t Palin like all of us: has pimples, winkles, yellow teeth (mine are not yellow but most people’s are unless you bleach them)? ” Fox News’ Megyn Kelly took major umbrage at the cover, assuming a clear effort on the part of the magazine to sabotage Palin, and hosted conservative commentator Andrea Tantaros, who published a blog post on the subject earlier in the week.” Like Kelly, Tantaros took what I think was a legitimate issue — that it’s disrespectful and unecessary to show a person’s imperfections so blatantly — and turned it into this hackneyed partisan argument”
Are these people truly serious making this an issue?
If they want sympathy vote they need more than that. I have no sympathy for McCain’s hands, more less for Palin’s facial hair

Palin is hated by the media, but her favorability rating amongst republicans and right leaning independents is 72% with only 21% unfavorable. Mitt Romney is in second with 56% favorability, and 17% unfavorable.

The democrats voted for McCain in droves, then after we nominated him, they went back to attacking him. Open elections ruined our parties chances and maximized Obama’s chances by choosing McCain.

I heard about a poll that was conducted by survey usa, while watching MsNBC, that about 20% of the people who voted for Obama would have voted for Palin if she was at the top of the ticket. Is it possible that many independents wanted to get McCain out of the way, so that we could have president Palin in 2012?

I was just thinking Americans voted for Bush twice and then almost half voted for McCain/Palin in the recent election. A few scary years for the U.S if Obama does not deliver.
I know most people say this will never happen however after seeing Americans voting for Bush a 2nd term this could be a real possibility.
People are saying the world could end in 2012 Obama or Palin could be responsible for the end of the world.

A new Rasmussen poll shows that 64% of Republicans think Palin is their best choice to run against Obama in 2012, and 69% think she helped McCain. 91% of Republicans have a favorable view of Palin, including 65% who say their view is Very Favorable. 71% said McCain made the right choice by picking Palin as his running mate, while only 65% said the party picked the right nominee for president.
To me, this seems like Republicans are completely detached from reality, because for obvious reasons, 60% of independents said Palin was too unqualified, and 57% of unaffiliated voters had an unfavorable view of her.
