Poll: Who will you vote for in 2012?
Obama, Hillary, McCain, Palin, Huckabee, Ron Paul, Bob Barr, or any other person. Who will you vote for?
Looks like Obama has alot of young supporters. Claude, I applaud you.

What are the chances of this scenario? McCain telegraphs a McCain/Lieberman ticket?
mccain would attract spinless, moderate republicans and lieberman would appeal to the more conservative part of the party…it’s just crazy enough to work!!! mind you, i don’t like mccain, would rather have romney, thompson or gulliani,…not really into huckabee..he’s down there with mccain in my book…but if mccain continues to win primaries, this just might be enough to defeat obama or clinton in the generals…your thoughts?
frankly, lieberman would be a asset to any one of the candidates..a guy who has shown a willingness to buck party lines to do the right thing…
regeredded-well what if mccain gets the nod nationally? would you sit out the generals and let hillary or obama waltz in??
No Obama 2012
Would a book like this appeal to Christians and atheists alike?
I am planning on writing a book based upon the mainpluation of society through the ideas of religion, thus leading to the current horrendous state we live in today.
That state consists of corruption at the highest level, the intermixing of church and state (See Bush and Huckabee), and the ‘morally correct’ society that we are supposed to live in today.
The book would include such ideas like taking care of your own problems, taking accountability for your own actions and consequences, and being a realist who investigates.
I think this book would appeal to the intellectuals and progressive-minded.
Would you read it?

Hilary spoke in quavering voice since her lost in N.H. How is she going to handle world problems? Cry?
(My name is Sonny and am Patricia J’s husband.) I don’t think Hilary can be president, maybe Condelesa Rice should run for president. She’s tough, and Obama is too cocky and all into himself….Oprah, please….read a book. HUCKABEE is the one. Quannah Parker would have been a good man for the White House. Just asking.

Is Joe the Plumber really Joe the Poser?
We know all about his back taxes, no plumbing license, and $100 “secret donation” to McCain’s campaign prior to going after Obama to try to “set him up” with a question direct from FOX News. One Obama answered completely and sincerely while deftly dodging the ‘trap’.
Then he is all….”I’m nobody…leave me alone….I don’t want attention” but yet he would hold countless interviews on his front yard and even do interviews in studio on FOX, including Huckabee and Hannity and Colmes.
Now he’s got an agent trying to secure a book and movie deal and doing stump speeches for McCain….even though on his previous interviews on his yard Joe mentioned he knows nothing about economics and foreign policy.
Isn’t Joe The Plumber just a POSER and a schill for the GOP who actually would benefit from Obama’s plan much more so than McCain?
HEY ELECTION AREN’T FOR SISSES-
You have it wrong. Joe pursued Obama, yelled out a question and called him over to him. Obama gracefully went to him and answered his question thoughtfully and throroughly. Furthermore, Joe opened himself up to criticism by not being who he said he was and by continuing to seek interviews and fame instead of just not answering his door and declining said interviews.
HEY EAFS–
Once again,…Yes…it was in Joe’s yard. Joe raced out to the edge of his yard….yelled out a question…and Obama gracefully went over to him and spent several minutes answering his question. The encounter…covered completely on videotape shows this to be true. You are brainwashed with the inaccurate reporting by the talking heads on FOX.
HEY SLOANER2–
Wow! You are even LESS informed than EAFS. “Obama knocked on JOE’S door”!?! OMG….you are just plain wrong. Your other arguements would support more weight if your facts were correct….which they are not!

Are you pro-illegals? Huckabee is..?

Huckabee has issued an extensive new plan that calls for illegal aliens to return home voluntarily, pushes employers to check workers’ status and would end several legal immigration programs.
It marks a major change in tone from Mr. Huckabee’s tenure as governor of Arkansas, when he campaigned for illegal-alien students to be eligible for college scholarships and financial aid and complained about federal raids on work sites that employed illegal workers. In his book earlier this year, he also called for a way for illegal aliens to earn citizenship.
I thought it was Romney that flip flopped?!?!?!?!??!

Do you know what muslim terrorists & conservatives have in common?
Conservatism. The only difference is that Osama bin Laden is FURTHER to the right than the average American conservative. The similarities are striking: both groups want to impose their values and their beliefs on the rest of the country. Both groups believe that following their religion will solve all social problems (if not all problems). If you peeked inside their heads, I’m sure you would find that they personally believe their religion should be the state religion and their holy book should be required reading. Is this not true? Huckabee even wants to amend the Constitution to ‘fit Biblical scripture’. Tell me I’m wrong.
Nobody has a good counter argument. Just ‘you’re wrong’ and ‘you suck’. LOL.
Vote Palin
Do you Expect a 3rd Party or Independent to run in 2012 for President?
Both of the established parties appear to have bankrupted themselves. The GOP because of G.W. Bush. The Dems because of Obama. Is there a strong possibility that both of these parties will nominate highly unappealing persons to run for the Presidency in 2012?
And, if they do, would that create an opening for a quiet competent non-ideologue to step in as an Independent and win the election?
Assume that Obama continues his downward spiral into Marxism and his close association with ACORN. Assume that he continues to be hapless and incompetent in dealing with America’s problems.
Assume that the GOP goes right off the deep end and winds up with a Huckabee-Palin ticket, or a weak ticket caused by concessions that the candidate has made to the social/religious extreme right wing of the party. So there may be a good person on the ticket but with very bad promises made to get on the ticket.
Assume that some clearly capable business or ex-military leaders would like to be President, have the money to run, and have serious things to say to a nation fatigued with meaningless squabbles between left/right ideologues in Washington DC.
Assume that the Independent ticket has a woman on it.
Assume that a lot of private money is made available, including PAC money from the “Independent for President” movement, and lots of soft advertising supportive of the idea of bypassing both major parties.
Assume the Independent articulates clear, clean, simple policies that people can understand, and which seem to be in the interests, and which seem to be do-able and work-able.
Beyond that, the Independent outlines a legislative plan that specifies how the policies will be pursued in legislation — who the expected allies will be — how the project will be paid for, and how it will help the people it is designed to help.
Beyond that the Independent has an Executive Agencies plan which states what can be done by Executive Order (without the help of Congress), acting through the DOD and the various agencies. The candidate can say, without obfuscation, who would be helped, how they would be helped, when this would happen, and what it would cost.
This comes across to the voters as a promise — this is how I plan to use the power of my office in my first 100 days — I promise.
The words come from a person who has always been good on their promises, and there are no internal contradictions that would make the promises impossible to keep.
Imagine
You say you don’t see the candidate, right there on your screen.
I say, I know, that’s why I’m asking you to imagine.
Keep in mind that Ross Perot got almost 30% of the vote in many places. So an Independent candidate is not completely out of the question in modern times.
Keep in mind that Sarah Palin may run as an independent spoiler candidate destroying the chances of Pawlenty, or Jindal, or Romney.
Keep in mind that Obama might easily become extremely unpopular if the war in Afghanistan gets more sour and then more sour, and if the US economy gets more sour and more sour. Obama could start to look like a man that needs replacing. Even Dems might split off to vote for a plainly competent Independent who has ideas that would work.

In light of all the scandals and infighting, who has the best chance of being the GOP’s nominee in 2012?
Looks like we can cross Mark Sanford and John Ensign off the list.
Seems like political pundits keep mentioning people from the 2008 campaign – Romney, Huckabee, and Palin (heaven forbid) – as the most likely candidates.
Other names that keep coming up include Newt Gingrich (by 2012, 14 years would have passed since he held public office) and Rudy Giuliani (by 2012, 11 years would have passed since he held public office).
Two of the most highly respected Republicans in the US – Senators Richard Lugar and Chuck Grassley – will be way too old to run. Ditto for John McCain.
The GOP leaders in Congress – McConnell and Boehner – come across as being obstructionists who haven’t been able to generate any alternative plans to what Obama proposes.
As for the better known Republican governors… Arnold can’t run since he wasn’t born here, Rick Perry (TX) blew it after the seccesionist remarks earlier this year, Charlie Crist (FL) is too moderate for most Repubs, Bobby Jindhal (LA) is really young and didn’t make a good impression in the Repub’s response to the SotU address, Haley Barbour (MS) is a spitting image of the liberals’ stereotype of Republican politicians – an old white buffoon, and Mitch Daniels (IN) is an Arab-American (a non-starter for evangelicals) whose governing style is very heavy-handed.
Doesn’t look like the GOP has many options for 2012. Are there any rising stars that I am not aware of?
No Obama 2012
Who do you want to see against the Obama Biden ticket in 2012? Who would you vote for?
I would like to see former Mayor Rudy Giuliani, and who ever he chooses to be his VP nominee. He might choose Gov. Rick Perry. As who I would vote for, I would wait until 2012, so I can decide then. I am very liberal, so I will probably vote for Obama and Biden.
I do not think Rudy Giuliani will get the GOP nomination, because I think Romney will take the North, while Gingrich, Huckabee, and Jindal fight in the south. While Palin, and Thune fight over the west.
