Poll: 2012 — Who gets your vote in this three-way race?

Anna_Blue asked:

A. President Obama, Democrat
B. Governor Palin, Republican
C. Senator Clinton, Third Party Candidate

I know, I know… it depends on how well or how poorly they do their jobs over the next four years, but c’mon, play along with me here. :-)
Some of you ain’t gettin’ it. LOL. I am talking about 2012 people! Of course there is no President Obama. I am merely projecting (with my tongue in my cheek — look that up, guys) a possible scenario. Sheesh, lighten up. LOL.

Vote Palin

Can’t you feel the Democrat’s desperation over Sarah Palin running against Obama in 2012?

the_wife_from_7th_heaven asked:

According to many polls, she is just as popular. In fact, if it were her running against Obama, she would have won handily because she has executive experience, and is near our biggest threat, the Russians, fact.

The Dems are already running scared, and they are now wishing that they ran a better campaign.

Vote Palin

Do Democrats really really really hope that Palin runs for president in 2012?

UniversalAnswers asked:

I do.
I really do…I will support any effort she makes to become the prime candidate of 2012…I will light candles for 4 years and sacrifice neighborhood cats for that result.

Any other Democrat wish to have that be a reality that Obama has to go against Palin?

Sarah Palin in 2012? Do the Republicans want their own version of Walter Mondale?

ThatOneDude asked:

I’m not a die hard Democrat or die hard Obama supporter, and I’m not comparing Obama to Ronald Reagan, but I don’t know how anyone can seriously talk about Sarah Palin running for president in 2012, unless the Republicans want to do what the Democrats did in 1984.

If your vice presidential nominee embarrases your party, you don’t then nominate them to be president four years later.

Vote Palin

Did You Respect McCain Until Palin Came Along?

Angie asked:

just want to know if I’m the only one…I don’t really want to get into a political debate about McCain or Obama. I’m still a little stuck on my vote.

I do like McCain and think he is a pretty solid candidate(I am a registered Republican but have also voted Democrat before). However, some days my vote sways from him because I just can’t stand his VP choice, Palin. I don’t want to get into reasons or arguments with anyone, but really I don’t think she would be an effective president, if it came down to it in an emergency, and her attitude really drives me up the wall. I’m sick of hearing her and her attacks and want McCain back in the picture. I never hear of her plans, just her slashing on the demo party.

Just wondering if anyone has the same sentiment.

Again, I don’t want this question to be about bashing conservatives or liberals….but I figured since it is in elections, I might draw some ire:) Just seeing how you view the VP ticket on this one.

I mean she rebuffs interviews and can be rude to questions…she doesn’t strike me as someone who can take the pressure of this title. She’s already flustering in a campaign! Imagine her as the president!

As someone mentioned, as much as I do like McCain, his judgement call on Palin has me a bit worried. He really could have done better.

Can’t stand her “soccer mom” preaching as well and her constant references to it. It’s not all about you, Palin…its about 100% endorsing the guy above you…McCain. She never seems to do that. Also, I hear she’s all for book-banning and had one librarian fired because the librarian didn’t ban a book she requested.

As someone mentioned, I’m also tired of her general, wishy-washy statements, such as “its all about the children” or “I know about family values.” To me, she is just another self-righteous “soccer mom” who thinks she can win others over by touting her “mom” horn and bragging about her family.

We all know that the Republicans are the party of no, the party of nothing, my question is?

Question asked:

how the hell do they think they are going to win in 2010 and 2012 when they have no ideas about anything, from health care to taxes. People lined up for hours to vote Democrat in November 2008 and in 2012 the lines will be just as long. You Republican inbreds are an embarrassment to civilized politics.

Is there a website for me to sign a petition to remove Joe the Heckler, SC Representative, out of Congress?

Lạnh lùng, vô cảm asked:

Republican Representative Joe Wilson is a humiliation to the State of South Carolina, the United States Constitution and the American image.

Republicans need to stop playing the “status quo” politics game when millions lives of working Americans are at stake.
@ smiley and sparks: thanks for your very objective comments.
@ Kirk: I live in Virginia, and I am a leaning-Democrat independent voter. If the issue is decided clear and cut, I would not have to worry about a congressman from another state. However, if the issue clearly divides Congress then Rep. Wilson’s vote does count. And I would not want this disgruntled and disrespectful representative to cast a vote on my health issue. I do have a good healthcare plan, but I am concerned about the cost of healthcare currently. Why is it that we have to pay a lot higher than Canadian to have health insurance? Something needs to be done, and the bill need to pass. The Republicans need to focus on solution, and if they don’t agree on a solution, they need to propose their idea to fix the issue. Doing nothing is not an action. Instilling fear is not a way to gain public trust.
