Rick Santorum vs Obama in 2012 Presidential Election

vs.

Santorum re-iterated his consideration of a 2012 run in a e-mail and letter sent on January 15, 2010 to supporters of his Political Action Committee saying, “After talking it over with my wife Karen and our kids – I am considering putting my name in for the 2012 presidential race. I’m convinced that conservatives need a candidate who will not only stand up for our views, but who can articulate a conservative vision for our country’s future,” Santorum also writes. “And right now, I just don’t see anyone stepping up to the plate. I have no great burning desire to be president, but I have a burning desire to have a different president of the United States!”

Now is your chance to vote! Who would win!

Why does the GOP claim they are willing to work with dems, but still continues to block passage of a bill whic?

the right stuff asked:

Clearly the bill needs some support from conservatives in order to achieve the votes necessary for passage, and I have to assume for this reason that there is an effort being made to prevent these votes (e.g. payoffs by Harry Reid). So here is what I don’t understand. The GOP has claimed they are willing to work with democrats…and yet they continue to block passage of a healthcare bill, simply because it is not how they want it. Do they not realize yet that the bill is not going to be just the way they want, and that they are lucky to have ANY of their ideas included in the first place? The reason their ideas were included because otherwise they were blocking passage of the bill, but now they still block it even WITH their ideas included such as private co-ops! What do you guys want from us?? I swear you are not going to be satisfied until everyone else and their mother to the left is wiped off the face of this planet or you otherwise achieve total control, even in the midst of our own congress. Why not just call yourselves facists and be done with it?

the bill can’t pass on liberals alone, it needs some support from GOP. If none of them or enough don’t vote for it then yes, that means they are blocking passage!

Is Michael Steel right? “2012 is off the table for Quitter Sarah Palin?”?

Countess Jodhaa Bai asked:

At a loss to explain Sarah Palin’s resignation after months of putting herself in the spotlight, many pundits — particularly conservatives who support her political career — have suggested the Alaska governor is working on a 2012 presidential run. But Republican National Committee chair Michael Steele said, in no uncertain terms, that it simply can’t happen.

“Not having talked to the governor, I take 2012 off the table right now simply because given everything she’s going through personally, dealing with the financial mess that all these ludicrous investigations have put her and Todd in, at the moment, I think she’s trying to focus on getting her house in order, her personal house in order,” Steele told FOX News.

“I look forward to welcoming her out and helping us in our campaigns this fall if and when shes ready to do that. Sarah Palin will be the ultimate arbiter of when she will engage and how she will engage,” he said.

A sizable number of Republicans — but less than a majority — seem to agree that it’s not a good idea. According to a Rasumussen poll, 40% think the resignation hurts her chances of winning the nomination in 2012.

Is there a chance Palin could become president in 2012?

Joshua H asked:

I just had a horrible thought. What if Obama screws up, or gets blamed for a bad economy, and is unelectable in 2012. And what if the few arch-conservatives still in the Republican Party so dominae their shrunken party that they elect Palin in the primaries. Could we end up with President Palin?

Do you know what muslim terrorists & conservatives have in common?

NONAME asked:

Conservatism. The only difference is that Osama bin Laden is FURTHER to the right than the average American conservative. The similarities are striking: both groups want to impose their values and their beliefs on the rest of the country. Both groups believe that following their religion will solve all social problems (if not all problems). If you peeked inside their heads, I’m sure you would find that they personally believe their religion should be the state religion and their holy book should be required reading. Is this not true? Huckabee even wants to amend the Constitution to ‘fit Biblical scripture’. Tell me I’m wrong.
Nobody has a good counter argument. Just ‘you’re wrong’ and ‘you suck’. LOL.

Are conservatives or liberals more likely to buy Sarah Palin’s tell-all book?

ironlace asked:

I lean toward the left, and I will read the book just for the irony of humor in the truth.

Sarah Palin’s book title and release date announced?

Culture Warrior asked:

“Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate, has finished her memoir just four months after the book deal was announced, and the release date has been moved up from the spring to Nov. 17, her publisher said.

The book now has a title, one fitting for a public figure known for the unexpected – ‘Going Rogue: An American Life.’”

How excited are conservatives for this book? Do you find the fact that she wrote what will no doubt be one of the most significant documents in American history in just four months truly astonishing?

Where will Republicans rank this book among other revered documents? I don’t think anyone believes ‘Going Rogue’ will have the kind of influence on the Republican party that ‘The Turner Diaries’ or “Atlas Shrugged’ has. But could it slide into third place on the hierarchy, just before the Bible, Constitution, Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence, Federalist Papers and finally ‘My Pet Goat?’
