Mitch Daniels vs Obama in 2012 Presidential Election

vs.

Although Daniels had claimed to be reluctant to seek higher office, many media outlets, including Politico, The Weekly Standard, Forbes, The Washington Post, CNN and The Indianapolis Star had speculated that Daniels may be in position to seek the Republican nomination for President in 2012 after he joined the national debate on cap and trade legislation by penning a response in the Wall Street Journal to policies espoused by the Democratic-majority Congress and the White House.[27] The speculators have cited Daniels’ record of reforming government, reducing taxes, balancing the budget, and connecting with voters in Indiana. In response to their speculation Daniels dismissed a presidential run in June 2009, saying “I’ve only ever run for or held one office. It’s the last one I’m going to hold.”  However, in February 2010 he told a Washington Post reporter that he was open to the idea of running in 2012!

Eric Cantor is a results-oriented leader in Congress committed to helping solve problems for America’s families. He has developed a broad range of innovative solutions to promote economic freedom, economic growth, job creation and national security.   Since being elected Whip, Eric has assembled a highly effective and energetic Republican whip team that serves as the nerve center of the Republican Conference. In early 2009, the whip team coordinated the effort in which no Republicans voted for the nearly $1 trillion stimulus bill.  Does he have enough votes to veto a second term of Obama?

Why does the GOP claim they are willing to work with dems, but still continues to block passage of a bill whic?

the right stuff asked:

Clearly the bill needs some support from conservatives in order to achieve the votes necessary for passage, and I have to assume for this reason that there is an effort being made to prevent these votes (e.g. payoffs by Harry Reid). So here is what I don’t understand. The GOP has claimed they are willing to work with democrats…and yet they continue to block passage of a healthcare bill, simply because it is not how they want it. Do they not realize yet that the bill is not going to be just the way they want, and that they are lucky to have ANY of their ideas included in the first place? The reason their ideas were included because otherwise they were blocking passage of the bill, but now they still block it even WITH their ideas included such as private co-ops! What do you guys want from us?? I swear you are not going to be satisfied until everyone else and their mother to the left is wiped off the face of this planet or you otherwise achieve total control, even in the midst of our own congress. Why not just call yourselves facists and be done with it?

Farooq asked:

Will a new GOP healthcare reform plan push Hispanics back to a competitive demographic ? Will Obama be able to gain a foothold in the breadbasket ?

Etc

Other predictions- please dont say any wild things like the GOP will win in San Francsico’s congress seat or that the Green party will win the presidency or that the Dems win every Senate seat. Be realistic.

the bill can’t pass on liberals alone, it needs some support from GOP. If none of them or enough don’t vote for it then yes, that means they are blocking passage!

Why is the Left thinking “You Lie” will cause them to pass this healthcare bill?

Honest Rob asked:

The liberal media is buzzing with claims that Rep. Joe Wilson (R-S.C.) shouted “You lie!” as a unification of the left to push through this healthcare plan. They mistakenly thought that since Wilson apologized for his outburst, that he was admitting he was wrong. The liberal media even went so far as to claim the healthcare bill will not cover illegal aliens.

We know, as well as Wilson still knows, and states so to this day, that there are no provision to prevent illegal aliens from getting healthcare out of this bill just like the rest of the citizens. There were two amendments here which would have enforced prevention of illegal aliens getting on the healthcare plan, and we now know the Democrats shot them both down.

A rule not enforced and has no provision to be enforced isn’t prevention.

It’s clear there are no provision to detect or prevent any illegal alien from getting the healthcare that is proposed. I think it is devious on the White House’s part to suggest it is anything but a lie that no illegal aliens will receive healthcare under their current bill.

Who do you think is lying… Obama or Wilson?

And do you think for a minute that Wilson doesn’t still believe Obama lied?

I think we will have a low fewer Democrats in the next congress if they go against the citizens on this. They didn’t learn a thing from the town hall meetings and hope the media is telling them the truth that what they saw they didn’t see and it was simply a setup deal from the RNC.
