When Romney made a bid to become the GOP challenger for the White House, a lot of people made an issue of his Mormon faith. My question is, will this always be an albatross for him or will voters decide it's not an issue and vote for or against him because of his political record?

It does matter a bit but people should not look at a person on his spiritual beliefs. If Romney is doing something good for the country then that is great because that is all we need. But if he tries convert all the people into his religion then that is another subject to talk about.

I've always wonder why a person's religion should matter. Kennedy was a Catholic and he was President. There have been born-again Christians in office. So why not a Mormon. It's not as if he'll be trying to convert the country if he's in office. We should look at what he did while in office in Massachusetts and not what he does in church on Sundays.

To a point religion does not matter, now if its some crazy person that does things to the point that its well past the "norm", say sacrificing animals/people then I have issues. Otherwise I am not voting for their religion , I am voting for their beliefs as a whole and what they can do for the people not just themselves.

What can he do for a whole to this country that no one else may have? That is all I care about along with if he (like any other) plans to push their beliefs onto me.
