I registered as indy since I knew I could never come from a split household (one parent dem, one parent rep). For me it seemed simple, I do not fully agree with either side and I watched as the fights bickered on between my parents. Who are you and how did you come to be what you registered as?

I did just the same but for many other reasons, not parents per say but all of the others around me. I remember back in the day when you just avoided the subjects of religion, voter status and all politics to be on the safe side.
