Haley Barbour vs Obama in 2012 Presidential Election
The 61-year-old Barbour has had many incarnations: director of the Mississippi census at the age of 22, lawyer in the family law practice, failed Senate candidate, Reagan White House official. Now, after a successful lobbying stint at the BGR Group—started as Barbour, Griffith, and Rogers—and with a respected record as governor, Barbour is back on the Hill. He testifies on cap-and-trade legislation and chats about Russia with Sean Hannity. He rides the airwaves slamming the Obama administration’s spending habits, casting them exactly as he did the Clinton economic package in 1993—Obama, like Clinton, could “charm the skin off a snake.”
All of which prompts conservatives to cry, Haley’s comet is streaking! He’s a strong voice in a leaderless party, and as leading 2012 contenders self-destruct, flirt with fringe theories, and attack one another, there sits Mr. Fix-It, now a successful elected executive, conveniently term-limited in 2011. Even opponents are impressed, or at least they say they are. “He’s an unusual combination of someone who’s really good on policy, really good on politics, and really good on TV,” says Democratic lobbyist Anthony Podesta. “And everybody likes him.”
Here’s the problem. Over three decades in politics, Barbour may have accumulated too much baggage to withstand the scrutiny of a presidential campaign. Besides, he is way too good a vice presidential candidate to waste at the top of the ticket.
Joe Scarborough vs Obama in 2012 Presidential Election
Prior to his career in television, Joe was the publisher and editor of the award-winning newspaper “The Florida Sun.” He served as a member of Congress from 1994-2001. While in office, Joe was a member of the Judiciary Committee and the Armed Services Committee. He was a part of a small group of Republican congressmen the National Journal said possessed a surprising amount of power given their youth and lack of years in Congress. His 2004 book “Rome Wasn’t Burnt in a Day” predicted the collapse of the Republican majority and US economy due to his party’s reckless spending. How would he do against Obama in 2012?
John Thune vs Obama 2012 Presidential Poll
vs.
For those in the GOP who aren’t giddy about a second Mitt Romney run and aren’t sold on the viability of Tim Pawlenty, Thune represents a mainstream conservative alternative. Tall, handsome, not yet 50 and with the sort of sunny demeanor that winning national Republicans usually possess, the former high school hoops star looks the part. He’s also something of a national party favorite for slaying a political giant — then-Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle in 2004.

Mark Sanford vs Obama in 2012 Presidential Election?
Sanford professes to be a firm supporter of limited government, and many pundits have described his views as being libertarian in nature. Most recently, he has embarked on an ambitious plan to reform methods of funding the state’s public education system. This would include measures such as school vouchers – aimed at introducing more competition into the school system as a means of fostering improvement. This would also allow more choice for parents who wish for their children to be educated in a religious or independent setting easier access at doing so. The plan, known as “Put Parents In Charge,” would provide around $2,500 per child to parents who chose to withdraw their children from the state’s public school system and instead send them to religious and other independent schools. Sanford has framed this plan as a necessary market based reform.
