    I thought she did fine.

She goes into the lions den after being called a chicken.

The Democrats aren’t interested in hearing her views, they want her embarrassed and “destryoed”, “raped”. When you get around to issues then I think she should talk.

Palin is an amazing choice! She can relate to a bit of each and every part of this country!
    *Children with Down Syndrome
*Parents who have had a teenager get pregnant
*Parents whose children are part of the military and being shipped to Iraq
    *Parents with young children

And can you believe she is already in the government? Oh..and seriously? Biden doesn’t even wanna be VP…and you think Palin is a bad choice!

Have you noticed that Palin is NOT running for President. Anyway, it is evident that you would think that about her even if her answers were great. You don’t have to watch Fox News since they are fair and balanced for the most part. You can continue to watch the Obama channels – CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, AND MSNBC. I am sure they love having you as one of their few viewers.

It’s not just her stupidity about economics, it’s the total package – she’s clearly had very narrow, parochial life experiences and is naive and uninformed generally. After watching that interview last night John McCain’s freakout made a lot more sense. He wants to delay his debate so he can delay HER debate. (Not that another week of cramming is going to help)

    Vote Palin

Geeze, reading the transcripts, doesn’t look like a very challenging interview or even that interesting from Katie Couric, yet Palin blows it big time.

This is a good question. Palin studied journalism in school, saying journalism “felt natural” to her, yet she went into her interview with Katie Couric not having done her homework. Palin offered circular responses that answered nothing, and Couric nailed her on it. It was simply too easy for Couric to show Palin up considering Palin is up for VP of this country.

What I want to know is why people are giving Palin all these breaks when it comes to her education (sporadic) and her daughter having this teenage pregnancy? Even as a liberal Democrat, I can at least respect a socially/politically conservative person with solid credentials and political experience who can also effectively manage their own family. Palin’s educational background is lackluster at best, and she didn’t do her homework on the important issues before interviewing with Katie Couric.

On another note, the comment above saying Palin can relate to every part of this country, then citing five examples all about her being a mother is laughable. The assumption that being a parent automatically relates one to every part of this country is erroneous. First, not everyone is a parent. Second, of those who are, some parents are having dramatically different experiences than others due to any number of differences – gender, race, socioeconomic status, attractiveness or lack thereof (sadly, studies have shown attractiveness level has an impact on a person’s life experiences) educational background, intelligence level, and age to name a few. The poster who made this comment must have as narrow a view of this country as Palin.

In sum, Palin is a complete dud, and Couric was right to be tough with her.
