Does Mike Huckabee no longer have a chance at the presidency?

Former Atheist asked:

I do not know much about politics and the election, it is really not my area. I know that John McCain has the republican nomination. What does that mean? Does Mike Huckabee no longer have a chance?

He’s looking at 2012. Probably hoping to get on McCain’s ticket as well. I don’t see it happening though.

If McCain dropped dead then Huckabee might stand a chance. As it stands now, no he does not.

Huckabee threw in the towel, McCain has enough delegates to get the nomination. Don’t let anyone tell you who to vote for and don’t be a one issue voter. Now, do your homework and educate yourself on all the issues facing our country, read the platforms of both parties and make an informed decision. It’s your responsibility as a citizen.

No republican nomanee ever had a chance at getting into the office this year or possibly 2012 at that matter. After what Bush did to this country I don’t see how we can handle having another republican in office without going into another depression that would probally be worse then the Great Depression

Hucakbee withdrew last night but I think he’ll be back his supporters are already beginning to organize so look for Huckabee in 2012 or 2016.

After Mitt Romney dropped out, the Republican nomination was in John McCain’s hands.

Mike Huckabee dropped out yesterday ( March 4).

No. Mr Huckabee has withdrawn from the race and has endorsed McCain, as the Republican candidate. Huckabee is no longer running and no longer has a chance. We only select one Republican and one Democratic candidate. McCain will run under the Republican ticket, but the Democratic candidate has not officially been named. The two possible selections for the Democratic candidates are Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Currently Barrack Obama is leading and will more than likely become the selection of the Democratic party. However, that is not official yet.

Even tho Mike Huckabee was my choice he didn’t receive enough votes to get the nomination for Republican candidate.
I felt he was an honest person, which is what our country needs. I don’t think McCain is a bad choice, but everyone has their own opinion. That’s what makes America so great!
We are not forced into a dictatorship, it is the vote of the majority. Some times your guy wins and sometimes he doesn’t. You do need to learn more about politics, because if you are old enough to vote, you should make an informed decision and vote for the candidate of your choice.

Last night John McCain earned enough delegates to get the Republican nomination and John Huckabee left the 2008 race.
Huckabee might still be President some day, but not as soon as lots of us had hoped.

i dont think so, but personally Mike Huckabee is one of the best repubs in a long time. he knows what is wrong, like abortion and what is right.

He never really had a chance against McCain because he wasn’t well known enough and didn’t have as much money behind him as McCain. It’s kind of a shame though, he seemed like a really good guy and probably would of made a good president.
